I fell asleep in class today so I will have to figure it out on my own.

Nov.23/09

Today we learned about factorial notation into perms/coms(permutation/combination). Permutation means-an ordering of objects in which order matters(ie. makes a diffrence) ex. phone number, locker permutation, postal codes, etc. a combination means- an ordering of objects in which ORDER doesn't matter, ex. card hands, pizza toppings, committee membership(all members the same). the formula for perutation is nPr and the formula for combination is nCr which means n objects combined r at a time nCr=n!/(n-r)!*r!

Today was a work period with an important lesson. don't lose your social skills. Be sure to teach your children social skills. China/Japan is already screwed.

Today was a work period.

Nov.18/09

Today we corrected the pathway problem. The easiest way to do it is use the triangle for each of the squares and multiply them together.

Nov.17/09

Today we learned about probability. We have to know how to put things into fractions, decimals, percentages, and words. Our calculators make fractions easy by pressing the math button and selecting the frac option. Also Pascals triangle plays a key role in probability. Each top two numbers added together makes the number below it.

We also recieved an excercise booklet.

Nov.13/09

Today I decided my Vectors Project would consist of the resultant vector being from where I live to the Co-op. We also were given some time to work on our excercises.

Nov.12/09

Today was a work period so I don't really have anything to say to myself.

Nov.10/09

Today we learned about adding vectors. I accidentally fell asleep though so I will have to watch the recording.

Nov.09/09

Today we were given our vector projects. We need to make a vector resultant for a scenario chosen by us and make at least 5 diffrent ways to do it without the "as the crow flies" method.

Nov.05/09

Today was a work period. We worked on excercise #2 questions.

Today we had a grad meeting and we discussed more vectors explained in the screenshots below.

Nov.03/09

Today I learned that when you add vectors together it means you put them end to end and the distance between them is your answer. It also doesn't matter which order you put them in because it's the same answer.

Nov.02/09

Today we started vectors. Vectors have 2 characteristics: they have magnitude[(how much)(ruler)] and direction[(which way)(protractor)]. This recording will help with the rest.
